On March 20, 2024 we notified families that our current before and after-school childcare provider, Right At School, was terminating their services with the district at the end of the 2023-2024 school year. Our initial solution to continue childcare services was to contract with the YMCA. However, after evaluating the significant increase in cost to families through the YMCA program, we have decided to continue our search for a different before and after-school childcare provider.
We are excited to let you know that we have partnered and signed on with “Champions,” which is a subsidiary of KinderCare. Not only will the cost be more in line with our current provider, but the options for families are more robust. We are currently working with the Champions team to prepare to launch the 2024-2025 school year registration process soon. Please keep an eye out for more information about our new before and after-school childcare provider, Champions. This program will be located at Lake Spokane Elementary and is open to all K-5 students in the district.
